Train:

The nearest train station is Oxenholme Lake District. From there, take a taxi – it’s about 1 mile – to Castle Green Hotel. Taxis are almost always waiting at the eastern side (ticket office side) of the station.

Air and train:

The nearest airport is Manchester Airport – from there, take the train to Oxenholme, the Lake District (1½ hours). At Oxenholme, take a taxi for 1 mile to Castle Green Hotel (taxi rank outside station, on the opposite side to which you alight from the train).

If arriving at one of the London airports, take the tube to London Euston rail station. Take the direct train to Oxenholme, the Lake District (it is between a 2½ and 3½ hour journey, depending on the time of day). At Oxenholme, take a taxi for 1 mile to Castle Green Hotel (taxi rank outside station, on the opposite side to which you alight from the train).

There is also a direct train from Glasgow airport to Oxenholme, the Lake District, taking about 3 hours. At Oxenholme, take a taxi for 1 mile to Castle Green Hotel (taxi rank outside station, on the same side on which you alight from the train).
