THE 12 thINTERNATIONAL HUMANITIES CONFERENCE
ALL & EVERYTHING 2007, IN RETROSPECT
WEDNESDAY evening, April 18
through SUNDAY noon, April 22, 2007.
The 12th International Humanities Conference – All & Everything 2007 convened on April 18, 2007 in Greece. The conference was attended by forty one delegates travelling from Canada, Belgium, Israel, Iceland, Greece, Netherlands, Norway, United Kingdom and United States.
From the Conference’s inception, it’s members have worked toward making this ‘gathering of the Companions of the Book’ to become more and more just that – a gathering of people from all over the world who come together for the purpose of ‘fathoming the gist’ of Gurdjieff’s writings, of sharing our insights and experiences, our questions, and our efforts to understand and grow into becoming remarkable men and women.
Six papers and a Cultural Event were presented. Abstracts of the papers are located on the Abstracts 2007 page.
The 2007 Proceedings are available from Amazon.com . They contain the texts of the Question and Answer sessions and the Seminars were transcribed from audio recordings by the presenters or Planning Committee volunteers and will reflect their individual editing styles. Some portions may be inaccurate or missing due to recording problems.
At the final “Where do we go from here”session, the Conference delegates decided by consensus that there should be another Conference in 2008. Many suggestions were put forward as to where it could be located. Suggested locations included England, Belgium, Norway, USA. In order to fully evaluate the facilities and costs associated with several locations, it was decided to defer a decision until a detailed proposals could be submitted. After evaluating the proposals, the Planning Committee agreed by consensus that the next Conference will be held at the Royal Norfolk Hotel, Bognor Regis, UK, for the dates of Wednesday, 12 March to Sunday, 16 March, 2008
