Call for Short Papers Form

Prospective authors are now invited to submit original Short Papers for the forthcoming All and Everything Conference 2023.

When referencing, quoting from, or basing a presentation on Beelzebub’s Tales to His Grandson, the preferred edition is the original 1950 edition for all submissions. Thank you.

I wish to submit a Short Paper to the All and Everything 2023 Conference. A 100 word abstract is provided below or will be submitted by email by December 30, 2022. I agree to submit a full draft of the paper of approximately 500 to 1000 words (not to exceed 1500) for publication by February 28, 2023. I also agree to enclose a short biographical note listing my background, interests and publications. Short papers are new for the 2023 Conference.

I agree to transcribe the Question and Answer session following the presentation of my Paper from the provided audio tape or CD and submit it by the deadline of June 30, 2023.

In consideration of my Short Paper being included in the Proceedings of this Conference, I consent to my Short Paper presentation being recorded by audio/visual means and to the subsequent publication worldwide of my Short Paper in any print or electronic audio/visual media as part of the Proceedings of this Conference and as part of any subsequently published collections of Conference Papers and/or any corresponding audio/visual media published by the Conference, and I waive any remunerative rights therein. I grant authority for publication to the All & Everything Conference Planning Committee. I understand that any profits will be used for producing future Conferences. This consent does not limit my rights of subsequent personal presentation, publication and remuneration from the publication of print, audio or video of my Short Paper. I understand the Planning Committee will make my Short Paper available to attendees at least 2 weeks prior to the Conference in consideration of their preparation.

    Style Guidelines for A & E Conference Papers, Q & A Sessions and Seminars

    We ask that:

    1. Short Papers do not exceed 1500 words in length.
    2. All Submissions should be in MS Word 11 pt Times New Roman font, or a plain text file. No PDFs please!
    3. Include any graphics (at 300 dpi), audio files, video files, PowerPoint Presentations. It is essential that you own the copyrights for all of them to ensure inclusion in the published Proceedings. If you don’t own the copyright, please include written permission from the copyright holder with your submission.
    4. Please Email the full draft of your paper by email to: info@aandeconference.org
    5. Deadline of full draft of paper is February 28, 2023.

Guidelines for the Format of the Short Papers

    • Title
    • Author
    • Use Italics type for all book names.
    • Limit quotations to one paragraph to comply with “Fair Use” of copyright material. Longer quotations must have written permission from the copyright holder; however, this does not apply with Gurdjieff’s publications.
    • All quotations and references of ‘hearsay’ must be referenced with author/title/edition/page number. “Absolute accuracy”[1] is required. The Conference uses the 1950 Edition of The Tales.
    • Indent quotations.

Guidelines for Submitting Transcripts of the Q & A Sessions

    • Participant names are not required.
    • All Submissions should be in MS Word 11 pt Times New Roman font, or 11 pt plain text (ASCII).
    • Please Email your finished transcription by email to: info@aandeconference.org
    • Deadline for inclusion in the Proceedings is June 30, 2023.

[1] Gurdjieff, G.I., The Herald of Coming Good, [Sure Fire Press, 1988] front pages. Contrary to the established custom, I shall not only permit this first book of mine as well as the books of the first series, to be reprinted in any country, but, if necessary, I am willing to subsidize it, on the condition of course that absolute accuracy is preserved. G. GURDJIEFF.
